How we use data for advertising
We never sell personal data for money. If you allow advertising in our cookie banner, Google, LinkedIn, Meta and Reddit receive usage data and ad click identifiers from your visits, to measure which of our ads bring visitors and to show our ads to people who visited our site. Some US state laws call this a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. Without your yes, none of it happens. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit it.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser: advertising stays off there and cannot be switched on. If you have given us your email, we also apply it to your record with us.
Opt out by email
You can also email [email protected] with the subject "Do not sell or share". We record it against your email within 15 business days, and from then on your data is left out of everything we send to ad platforms. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of your permission.
Other rights
To see, correct or delete your data, or to appeal a decision we made about a request, see section 9 of our Privacy Policy. We never treat you differently for using these rights.
